The CBA Art Show, in its 34th year, is the Mothers` Club`s largest fundraiser. This past year we raised close to $60,000 for the school. This 3 day event includes over 100 professional artists and artisans from all over the northeast. Mediums such as original watercolors, oils, photography, sculptures, pottery and jewelry are displayed in the two gyms of CBA. The event opens of Friday evening with a lavish Preview/Cocktail Party that you will not want to miss. On Saturday and Sunday the cafeteria is turned into the Artist`s Palate Cafe serving a light lunch to the public.
The success of this event depends entirely on the dedication of our volunteers. More than 125 volunteers are needed for:

MAILING
Maysoun Aydin
|
This is an easy and wonderful way to meet other moms. As the need arises, the committee is called to meet at CBA, usually in the morning, to fold, stuff and label envelopes for mailings, i.e. invitations. You`ll enjoy great conversations and it`s a fun way to get involved at CBA.
If you are interested in learning more about this committee, please email

MEMBERSHIP
Bonnie Stahl
|
The Membership Committee compiles all the volunteer lists for the Mother’s Club and is handled independently by the Membership Chairperson. Each year, the Mother’s Club distributes a volunteer form at the Freshman Mother’s Welcome and in the student packet mailed in August. The Chairperson then collects all forms from the main office and compiles volunteer lists for each committee. These lists are updated as needed and are distributed to the various committees. This is a great committee for busy or working moms as it is done at home, at your own pace and is completed by mid-October.

MOTHER SON DINNER
Lisa Murray
|
This is a very special spring event in which CBA boys escort their mothers to a lovely dinner complete with a small gift raffle. This committee, consisting of between 10 and 15 moms, organizes the event by:
>Making arrangements with the catering hall
>Accepting reservations and arranging tables
>Decorating tables and set up the day of the event
>Collecting donations for gift baskets
>Organizing the 50/50 raffle
A photographer is available to capture the special moment with Mother and Son, as many moms have enjoyed collecting and comparing the photos from year to year. The Mother/Son is not considered a fundraiser nor is it a dance. It is a social evening that is a memorable and fun event.

TELEPHONE/EMAIL COMMITTEE
Ann Groody
|
This committee plays an integral part in two of our major fundraisers: the Fall Luncheon & Gift Raffle and the Art Show. Each member of this committee is given a list of families close to where they live. Their responsibility is to call or email these families prior to each event as a reminder to send in their reservations or donations. The telphone chairpersons provides the committee members with the content of the message to communicate to the families on their lists. The donations from the CBA families are key to the success of these two fundraisers. Therefore, follow through of the telphone/email committee members is very important.
